Dear Neighbor, April 2, 2015

I am writing you today on behalf of the Winchester Field Development Council (WFDC) seeking your support for the final leg of the Manchester Field Renovation Project.

Recently, the Winchester School Committee and the Board of Selectmen gave the green light to the WFDC to raise funds in support of lights for the multi-purpose synthetic surface at Manchester Field.

The success of the Manchester Field Renovation project has allowed many in our community the opportunity to have a first rate facility for recreational use, general health and wellness activities as well as competitive events.

The addition of lights to Manchester Field will allow the community increased access to the field and flexibility with field space across town.

Our goal and mission is a simple but aggressive one. With your help we are looking to raise $400,000 that will allow us to fully fund four state of the art light poles and meet all the requirements necessary for this project. Our vision is to secure the funding and have installment of the lights start in the fall of 2015.

Your support and generosity is needed to help us reach our goal. A contribution from you today regardless of its size will make lights on Manchester Field a reality.

I am EXCITED to tell that we have already secured nearly $100,000.00 needed for this project and that we have two generous gifts pledged on a matching basis. The first is a $50,000.00 pledge from the Winchester Sports Foundation (WSF). The WSF will match all donations collected by the WFDC from now until the end of May 2015. This pledge also includes the net proceeds from the Sports Foundations May 2015 Golf Tournament. The other matching gift is from an Anonymous donor in the amount of $25,000.00. SO in total we have $75,000.00 in matching gifts. That means your donation made today will be worth double!!

Thank you in advance for your consideration of this request.
